A simple window will popup asking you the hostname and the port of the MUD you want to connect. The hostname may be both an alphanumeric name or an IP address, the port should be a number ranging from 1 to 65535. If you specify a unreachable host (for instance if the network is down) or a mispelled hostname GGMud will inform you of the problem after a timeout of a few seconds (the number of seconds vary depending the operative system you are using).
GGMud has also a limited telnet support, so it can be used also the telnet a few unix machines (provided the machines have the telnet service open). The telnet support may be useful if you are behind a firewall that closes the not standard TCP ports.
GGMud autologin feature is very basic, it sends your character name and password just after your connection is established, so it cannot be used in muds that ask other inputs before the user/password pair. You can anyway implement a more complex autologin yourself using triggers.
To add an entry to the wizard simply fill the required fields and click Add, to delete an existing entry from the wizard select it in the list in the left side of the window and click on Delete. Changes to the wizard entries are not saved to disk until you click on Save.
